GrowPal is a child development tracker made for parents and caregivers. Your family's data is sensitive, and this policy explains plainly what we collect, where it lives, and what control you have over it. Questions any time: support@ionul.com.
Everything in GrowPal is entered by you. Depending on which features you use, that can include: child profiles (name, birth date, gender, an optional photo); daily care logs (feeding, sleep, diapers, growth measurements, temperature, medication, notes and similar entries); vaccine records and introduced foods; pregnancy tracking entries; medication and care reminders; and your own wellbeing check-ins. If you create an account, we also receive your name and email address (from you, or from Google/Apple if you sign in with them).
Without an account (guest mode): everything is stored locally on your device only. We have no copy and no access to it.
With an account: your data is synced to Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase), encrypted in transit and at rest, so it survives device loss and can be shared with caregivers you invite. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
Family Sync: if you create or join a household with an invite code, the child profiles, logs, reminders, vaccine records and food lists in that household are visible to its members — only people who join with an invite code you control.
GrowPal Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, with subscription status managed by RevenueCat. We never see or store your card details. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase history needed to unlock premium features (RevenueCat's privacy policy).
GrowPal is intended for use by adults — parents and caregivers — who record information about their children. The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. Information about children is entered and controlled entirely by their parent or guardian.
You can delete individual entries, child profiles, or the entire account at any time inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your synced data from our systems. Guest-mode data can be removed by deleting the app. You can also email support@ionul.com and we'll handle deletion or a data export for you.
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data. Because GrowPal is designed so that you hold your own data, most of these are available directly in the app — and for anything else, email us and we'll help.
Synced data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Google Cloud infrastructure, and access is restricted by per-household security rules so only authenticated members of your household can read your family's data.
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the effective date above and note the change in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
